Future Learning Goals

Although I may have completed this course, there is still plenty of work to be done. The portfolio projects are still a work in progress and I feel there is more to learn to enance that work and this website. Here are some of the things I plan to work on in no particular order.

100 Days of Code Portfolio Projects

Although I am technically done with the course, I still need to complete all of the porfolio projects. As the projects, are completed, I will update this website as I complete the projects. It may not be a project a day but my goal is to completely wrap up that content by the end of January 2024.

Tackling SQL

One of the subjects that was covered in this course, and that I feel would be beneficial to learn on my own is SQL. There have been situations where I have been asked if I knew any SQL and my answer would be no. It is my goal to have a better understanding on this topic to strenthen my career as well as help me tackle personal projects and portfolio projects.

Web Development Course

I did notice that the App Brewery had a course on Web Development. This course includes Front-end and back-end technologies. I beleive that pursueing this course will strentthen my knowledge as a programmer as web concepts intercept with many other coding technologies as I have learned working through this Python course. I believe it would be beneficial to have a better understanding of web concepts.

Codecademy

I plan on looking into Codecademy as a platform to help strengthen my coding knowldege. I noticed that they have a very broad range of coursees including cources in web development as well as Python, SQL, and other technology resources. I believe it will be a good resource in tackling the areas mentioned above as well as diving deeper into those areas.

As I have learned, never rely on a single resource when learning!

Projects

Along with the challenges provided in this course, I plan on pursueing other project ideas to strenthen my portfolio. As they come, I will add them to my GitHub page and maintain a repository of the work I have completed!

Where To Go...

I will say that I am at a bit of a cross road as to where I want to go professionally. IT has been fun but one thing that has been a challenge with moving up the ladder is obtaining access to the technologies being utilized in envirnments. I would love to continue working with technology and one thing that I have enjoyed working with Python and coding in general is the ability to show something at the end after completing the task at hand. Not just book knowledge, but a completed project that was satisfying in completing.

Where next? We will see!
